For example, if I pull the DisplayPort cable from the RTX4090 for one of the active monitors, the previously inactive monitor will become active. One might think the inactive monitor is defective, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Only 2 of 3 monitors are active in Windows and generate a display. To your point, I have previously set each monitor to its lower refresh rate of 120hz to see whether it made a difference. The native, max refresh rate of the Neo G7 is 165hz. My issue is merely trying to get the 3 monitors to generate displays when connected in a triple configuration. Some titles are more demanding and require you pull back the quality settings. To your question regarding frame and refresh rates, I understand the relevance when it comes to settings within specific game titles. I will say, however, I've not watched a video where the monitors are the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 4k. Just to be sure, I contacted a Samsung sales representative yesterday and received confirmation that the Odyssey Neo G7 should work in a triple monitor configuration. I've also watched other videos that successfully demonstrate the use of triple 4k monitors with an RTX4090. I had previously watched the YouTube video you referred (I appreciate it nonetheless). If this PC is inadequate for triple 4k, then nothing currently available today is. The only overclocking consists of enabling the XMP profile, which gives me a RAM speed of 6000MT. Windows, bios and all drivers (including Nvidia) are up to date. I built a high-end PC specifically to handle the demands of triple 4k monitors. It's a new high-end build:ĬPU: i9 13900, GPU: MSI Suprim X RTX4090, MB: MSI z790 Carbon WiFi, RAM: 64GB (2x32) DDR5, PSU: Corsair AX1600i, Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 SSD and Samsung 870 EVO 4TB SATA SSD. Please refer to the add-in-card manufacturers' website for actual shipping specifications. Graphics card specifications may vary by add-in-card manufacturer. Clock specifications apply while gaming with medium to full GPU utilization. Note: The above specifications represent this GPU as incorporated into NVIDIA's Founders Edition or reference graphics card design. Power requirements can be different depending on system configuration. Other display configurations may be possible based on available bandwidthĥ - Idle power measured with GPU running at idle at the Windows desktop for 10 minutesĦ - Video playback power measured using AV1 codecħ - Average gaming power is measured across 22 games at 4K, 1440p, and 1080pĨ - Minimum is based on a PC configured with a Ryzen 9 5900X processor.2 independent displays at 4K 240Hz or 8K 60Hz with DSC using DP or HDMI.4 independent displays at 4K 120Hz using DP or HDMI.Up to 8K 12-bit HDR at 60Hz with DP 1.4a + DSC or HDMI 2.1a + DSC.Ģ - As specified in HDMI 2.1a: up to 4K 240Hz or 8K 60Hz with DSC, Gaming VRR, HDR I was supposed to hear back, but so far nothing.ġ - Up to 4K 12-bit HDR at 240Hz with DP 1.4a + DSC or HDMI 2.1a + DSC. I have discussed this with Samsung via live chat (#89887375). The marketing materials provide no such disclaimers. It will be a huge disappointment if the final word is that the Neo G7 4k cannot support triple displays. Otherwise, they are marketed in a similar fashion. The Neo G7 is an enhancement with greater resolution and HDR support. Both 32" with 1000R curve with focus on PC gaming. The Neo G7 4k is described as "gaming monitor" just as the previous G7 1440p was. Incidentally, I never had any issue when I previously ran triple monitors with the previous G7 1440p monitors. I'm convinced it's something with the Neo G7 4k. I tried a different RTX4090 and get the same result. Windows recognizes the 3 monitors (in display settings) and that they are connected to the graphics card (Nvidia RTX4090), but one monitor is noted as "inactive". The monitors are each connected individually via DisplayPort 1.4 cables to a corresponding port on the RTX4090 graphics card. All monitors work individually, but only a combination of 2 of 3 present a display when attempting to display to all 3 simultaneously. I can only get a display on 2 of 3 of the Neo G7 4k monitors. I use the monitors as a triple display on my driving simulator. I recently purchased 3 Odyssey Neo G7 32" monitors (4k) to replace 3 Odyssey G7 32" monitors (1440p) I've had for a couple of years.
